Art In Everyday Life
with John Perkins
The path of meditation leads to a life of artistry. Whether creating a meal, a painting, choosing one's clothes or decorating one's home one can manifest dignity, discipline, craftsmanship and elegance as an expression of one's own basic goodness. This evening will address how the practice of meditation manifests as artistry in the post-meditation experience.
John Perkins is an extraordinary sculptor, photographer, architect and author. A senior student in the Shambhala lineage, he executed the gold-leafing of the Great Stupa at Shambhala Mountain Center. He is the former director of the San Miguel de Allende Shambhala Meditation Center and currently resides in Halifax.
This event is a part of our weekly Shambhala In The Grove which meets every Sunday evening.
John's photography, "Landscapes of Perception" will be on display at Art Wynwood from February 15th - 20th. For more information click here.
