SHAMBHALA DAY CELEBRATION: Year of the Fire Bird
Shambhala Day marks the beginning of the New Year and is one of the most important observances in the Shambhala community. Based on Losar, the traditional Tibetan New Year's celebration, the date is calculated astrologically to coincide with the lunar cycles.
On this day we celebrate the beginning of a new year, a fresh start and opportunity to let go of past patterns. This is a time when we can express the elegance and richness of our spiritual and cultural heritage, through practice, feasting and conviviality.
